Oct 08 (Field Level Media) – Adrian Meronk has “no intention” of signing with LIV 2.0, Eurosport reported.
Meronk appears to be following in the footsteps of Jon Rahm, whose representation announced Wednesday in bankruptcy court that the proposed terms for LIV 2.0 were “unacceptable” and declared that Rahm “will not be participating going forward in LIV 2.0.”
Ironically, both Rahm and Meronk joined LIV Golf in late 2023.
Meronk, 33, grew up in Poland before moving to the U.S. to play collegiately at East Tennessee State. He was named the 2023 player of the year on the European Tour, which is now the DP World Tour.
“The End! Adrian Meronk has no intention of extending his contract with LIV Golf!” Eurosport announced.
Meronk seized a two-stroke win at the 2026 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship last Sunday, marking his fifth career victory on the DP World Tour. Sunday’s win gave him full membership on the European tour for 2027, a big chip considering the doubt surrounding LIV Golf as it goes through Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Meronk admitted to being a little cloudy on his future after the win, however.
“It’s a little bit unknown, to be honest,” Meronk said. “Obviously I came here after the LIV season was done to keep my status, to keep my playing rights for next season. Obviously this helps me tremendous — a lot. So I’m going to have to re-evaluate my goals, my schedule and how my future will look like but this helps a lot for sure.”
