Baby animals are cute.. unless they can send you to the hospital!
Fall is baby copperhead season and here in Tennessee, residents are more likely to see them slithering around until mid- November. Obviously keep an eye out if you’re hiking or going into the woods, but even if you’re gardening and moving around flowerpots, logs or rocks.. just pay extra attention. The baby Copperheads have a yellow-green tip on their tail. It’s illegal to kill a snake in Tennessee since they help control the pest population.
While death is extremely rare if you get bit by a copperhead, you still need to go to get medical attention, even if a baby bit you.
