Some Tennesseans could now save just under $100 bucks a year at the grocery store.
Metro Council voted to officially reduce a portion of Nashville’s grocery tax, and while it isn’t by some majorly significant number, it’s still gonna save us some money. The tax will been reduced by a half a cent starting on July 1st. Essentially, you’re saving 50 cents for every $100.
Doesn’t seem like much, but it’s a start. Read about the changes HERE
