Starting tomorrow, a long-term closure will begin on this iconic bridge.
The Double Arch Bridge on Natchez Trace Parkway will be FULLY CLOSED to all traffic through Spring 2027. No pedestrians, cyclists or vehicles will be able to access the bridge for over a year as they work on improvements, including a permanent pedestrian safety barrier.
Expect delays in the area and plan ahead for this. A 7.5-mile detour will be in place, and of course, that will get busy. They have a list of recommended detour routes for you to check out.
