This new technology could help police respond to calls even quicker.
Over in Mt Juliet, the department is learning about a system called “Live 911” which allows officers to stream calls from dispatch. This means that officers could hear what’s going on at the same time as the 911 operator and respond to a scene quicker, rather than have to wait for all of that info to be relayed to them.
Those are potentially life-saving seconds or minutes that they’ll be saving. In March, Mt Juliet Police are also launching their drone program.
