We have all those cool nights last month to thank for the Fall colors we see on the trees right now.
Experts were wondering if we’d be able to enjoy the leaves changing color before they fell to the ground. Thanks to the consistently cool nights and moderate weather last month, we’re able to enjoy all the reds, oranges, and yellow leaves filling our yards.
Even in drought conditions, the cool nights helped the leaves change because it trapped the sugars in them. We’ll be able to see them for a couple more weeks, but they’ll definitely be fallen by Thanksgiving.
