PARIS, Oct 9 (Reuters) – France’s anti-cybercrime unit has closed two websites alleged to be selling stolen data and arrested three 17-year-olds suspected of running them, Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau said in a statement on Friday.
• The Reacher platform was created in March and offered stolen personal data from different sources to the public through different kinds of subscriptions, the statement said
• The service, which was renamed Stryx in June, claimed to store 730 million lines of data, including names, addresses and bank account numbers, and had received 3.1 million requests
• The three male teenagers could face up to 10 years in prison, if convicted
