Sure fireworks are fun, but not if ya blow a finger off.
A Fire Marshall is going viral for his advice on setting off your own fireworks for the 4th of July so here are a couple of his tips.
- follow the manufacturer’s directions and never set off fireworks that are unlabeled
- stay at least 25 feet from people, houses, dry areas and flammable materials
- light fireworks one at a time and keep a bucket of water or garden hose handy in case of a mishap
- also, be sure to check the legality of setting off fireworks in your area.. in Davidson County, it’s prohibited, but every county and town has their own set of rules
