Mean Johnny Greene

Mean Johnny Greene is JACK-fm's resident “Smack Talkin’ Fantasy Football” expert.   Around the office, he talks about football all day long, and he will put you in your place if you can't back up your arguments.   Johnny's experience includes a short-lived career at a fantasy football publication, plus countless hours of watching football games on his DVR.  He also has a current subscription to the "All Football" Network (impressive, huh?).

For realz?

TheHuddle.com has Vernon Davis listed as the #1 TE.  Why do you think he will suck so bad?

Just a hunch...

Davis was two different guys against Seattle last season.  One went for 2 grabs and 32 yards, while the other went for 6 catches, 111 yards, and a TD.  San Fran easily won the first game behind 202 yards on the ground from Frank Gore, while they lost on Vernon's big day.  I'd expect something in the range of 4 catches for 65-70 yards and no TD.  Head Coach Mike Singletary wants to run the ball and play defense.  Old school, baby!

Mean Johnny is H O T...

...but that is, beside the point.  It's been mentioned by someone within JACKFM unit, that Detroit is going to be good this year??  I've viewed your picks and thus far you don't seem to think much of Detroit.  Do you agree with your fellow JACKFM'er, that Detroit may show up this year or is your fellow JACKFM'er just a JACK_ s _?

Simple answer...

Said JACKfm'er is a JACKa**.  Detroit will suck again...book it!  I'd say 6-10 overall. They'll most likely finish dead last in their divison, but they do have some fantasy potential.  I like Calvin Johnson as a Top 5 WR (they'll be playing from behind a lot, thus throwing more) and Jahvid Best as late #2 RB option.  Best is pretty small (5'10" 199 lbs.) and he has a pretty lengthy injury history.  So, you better be prepared to grab some RB insurance if you decide to go that route.
