Yep, only 16 days left until Bonnaroo! So, while some of you enjoy the CMA Music Fest (I still think I like the name Fan Fair better), the JACK staff and I will be covering the festivities in Manchester, TN.

Ok, by now you might have heard about our Request-A-Thon Flood Relief efforts for the Nashville Red Cross.  Well, we wanted to do more. 

Well, there was cake last Friday night at 12 & Porter as we wrapped up JACK’s Birth Week.  It was HUGE!   Also, who doesn’t love a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting…..DELICIOUS!  Man that cake was good.  Oh, and if you didn’t hear we also had a surprise guest drop by….  Tommy Heath of the band

Over the weekend a Metal Legend passed away.  Ronnie James Dio died Sunday morning from the effects of stomach cancer.  He was 67.

Alright, by now you’ve heard of Nashville Rising: A Concert for Flood Recovery, June 22nd at the Bridgestone Arena.  Well, tickets went on sale this morning and were quickly gobbled up.  All I can find are single seat tickets, or over priced tickets on craigslist and eBay!  (BTW-Who scalps a charity show?) 

Man, I have to admit…this city is pretty damn cool.  Just got the word that Tim McGraw & Faith Hill have made a few phone calls for help on the recovery efforts.  Now those phone calls have turned into NASHVILLE RISING: A benefit concert for flood recovery
