Clapton Nashville Connection
With Eric Clapton and Rodger Daltrey playing the Sommet Center this Saturday night, I thought I might do what the cool TV peeps doFind a Nashville Connection. Well after typing Eric Clapton & Nashville in the Google search line, heres what I found out.
Apparently, Erics guitar (Which is nicknamed Blackie") originated from Nashville. Yep, word is that back in 1970, Clapton walked into Sho-Bud Guitar shop and bought 6 vintage Fender Stratocasters for 100 bucks each. He gave 3 away to Harrison, Townsend, and Winwood then took the last three stripped them down and assembled Blackie. Neato huh!
OK, I was told the JACK-fm studio needed dusting - gotta go.
